Google Trainer

This year I finally did Google Trainer. Something I’ve put off for a long time without a good reason. Felt great to finally get it done, and to start connecting with other Educators in New Zealand, and abroad.

If you're interested in doing Trainer or like me had been putting it off, here are the steps for your application outlined on Google for Education website

edu.google.com (2022)

The trainer skills assessment potentially requires a little more prep than Level 1 and 2, only because some of content was specific to the United States.

The other thing is to make sure you have done at least 5 Google specific trainings in the past year. You will need to use one of them as a case study to answer some short questions, but then also provide evidence of the digital materials you used, as well as the feedback from the participants at your training session.

Once your application is successful and you gain your Certified Trainer digital badge you get to join the Google group for Trainers which gives you access to the whole team of Google Trainers, as well as resources and other Googley perks.

You also get to be featured in the Google for Education Directory which is pretty cool.
